We work hard with our suppliers to get ethically sourced materials. 

 

Diamonds

We are 100% free from conflict diamonds. All diamonds sold by Jewelry Social comply to the Kimberly Process, which ensures all diamonds are:

• Exported and/or imported with a government validated Kimberly Process certificate, which clearly states that the diamonds are responsibly conflict-free.
• Transported between signatory countries in a tamper-proof and sealed container for chain of custody.
• Sold with a statement from the seller on all invoices guaranteeing that the diamonds are conflict-free.

We won't mess around here. If any of our suppliers do not adhere with our responsible sourcing program, we end our relationship with them.

 

Gemstones

As with our other raw materials, we communicate strict expectations to our suppliers and vendors. We continually endeavor to only source gemstones from globally responsible sources. All of our suppliers have provided written documentation stating their compliance with the US Patriot Act.

 

Metals

Precious metals (including gold, platinum, silver) should be mined and refined in a sustainable and responsible manner. This process needs to respect our fellow humans and the planet.

This includes appropriate mining methods, conservation, remediation and fair labor practices/remuneration. Environmental considerations includes proper refining, handling of acid, fumes, and emissions.

Our vendors must maintain policies and procedures that mandate social and environmental responsibility for both themselves and for their suppliers.
